SPORTS FACILITIES DESIGN

From the first considerations, regarding the construction of a synthetic turf sports surfaces,
through to the final completion, and maintenance a clear understanding is required of the construction options and the surfacing requirements for each sport.

 The survey work and design processes alongside the management and maintenance decisions that need to be made can be complex and will depend upon many factors. 

Guy has been involved in this sector since 1993 when providing pitch designs for various MOD bases in Scotland. This expertise has since developed through involvement in the school estate. Guy has provided designs and specifications for all major sports surfaces, be they natural or synthetic.

Since forming S-WP Guy has continued providing consultancy services for the development of natural and synthetic sports surfaces.

  • Rubber filled 3G Football/Hockey pitches
  • Rubber-filled 3G Football/Rugby training pitches (Conforming to FIFA Regulations)
  • Rubber-filled 3G Rugby pitches, (conforming to World Rugby Regulation 22)
  • Polymeric games courts for Basketball/Netball/Football/Tennis
  • Polymeric running tracks to conforming to IAAF requirements
  • Tender documents for a maintenance contract for all of East Lothian Council's synthetic sports surfaces
